Crew chef

Experienced male crew Chef required for a full time, single season cruising, 80m private motor yacht, Mediterranean based.

Ships cook certificate is highly desirable but will consider candidates who have Food Hygiene Level 3 as minimum

Starting immediately joining port of embarkation to be confirmed. Either France or Spain

Salary on offer is $5,500 per month

38 days leave with the option to take further unpaid leave subject to the yachts cruising program.

Working with a great Captain and a multinational crew who have a good camaraderie and working dynamic together.

The position entails:

  • Cooking for approx.23 crew – 25+ during the summer season including staff 
  • Multi-National Crew
  • Healthy and varied menus.  
  • Complete and Thorough Maintenance of the Crew Galley -Hygiene is ESSENTIAL
  • Maintenance of Food Stores – Dry Stores/Fridges/Freezers 
  • Cleaning and Organisation
  • Rotation of all stocks
  • Provisioning 
  • Monthly Accounts

The Galley and Food Stores/Fridges/Freezers to be maintained to a very high standard of sanitation.

Proper Hygiene and food protocols for all food handling to be observed at all times. 

To be considered for the position, the ideal candidate will have the following; 

Ships Cook certificate

Have a good level of English language.

Driving license is preferred but not essential

All STCW certificates in date

Valid ENG 1

Excellent and verifiable references
