Deck
The Captain
The captain is responsible for the overall operation and management of the yacht, including navigation, safety, and crew management.
First Mate/ Officer
The first mate is the captain’s second-in-command and assists with navigation and safety, as well as supervising the deck crew.
Bosun
The bosun plays a critical role in ensuring that the yacht’s exterior is in top condition and that the deck crew are well-trained and organized.
Deckhand
A deckhand’s responsibilities include performing hands-on tasks to maintain the yacht’s immaculate condition, ensuring that it is ready to receive guests at all levels.
Engineering
Chief Engineer
The role of the Chief Engineer is crucial to the overall functioning of a yacht and holds the highest position in the yacht’s engineering department.
Engineer
The role of an engineer on a private yacht is to oversee the yacht’s mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring they are properly maintained and functioning optimally.
ETO / AV / IT
The ETO works closely with the engineer and other members of the yacht crew to ensure that the electrical systems are operating safely and efficiently. They are responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise with the electrical equipment and systems, and they may also be involved in designing and implementing upgrades or improvements to the yacht’s electrical systems.
